Herbalife Thermojetics

Herbalife Thermojetics is a weight loss product line brought forth by the company Herbalife, which sells a large variety of dietary supplements and weight loss aids. This diet system offers many advertised benefits, some of which are “attacking stubborn fat, hard-to-lose inches and cellulite.”

The Thermojetics line requires the consumption of a whole array of products. We will examine this diet system as a whole to determine its potential success in managing weight and what type of lifestyle it requires consumers to abide by.

The Thermojetics diet plan utilizes many Herbalife products. There are meal replacement shakes and bars, morning and nightly supplements, power drinks and many others. The creators of Thermojetics state that following this plan will reduce caloric intake and boost the number of vitamins users consume. The vitamins and supplements are advertised to not only augment health but also boost metabolism. There are even products designed to decrease the appearance of cellulite, although the only clinically proven method to achieve this result is the reduction of body mass or a topical cream.

In order to achieve maximum results from the plan dieters must strictly follow the suggested use. Due to the many number of products required for use, and the simultaneous ingestion of different supplements this might be a confusing plan for some to follow. Dieters will be told to replace certain shakes for certain meals, while replacing food bars for other meals; all while ingesting morning pills, mid-day pills and nightly pills. Overall, this diet system will require diligence and organization from users to successfully follow.

The examination of many of the ingredient used shows that Herbalife includes a variety of diuretics and laxatives in the Thermojetics line. Daily use of such herbs may rid the body of excess water and toxins. However, it may also flush out essential mineral and vitamins. Nutritionists do not recommend daily use of laxatives or diuretics, but rare, occasional use may be okay when used correctly.

This product has been discontinued by Herbalife and replaced with a program named “Shapeworks.” Products are discontinued for a variety of reasons, some of which include extreme customer dissatisfaction, health risks when used and also an inability to properly function.

The Thermojetics diet system may create weight loss due to the limited calories it allows and the abundance of laxatives and diuretics. This program requires two meals a day to be replaced by a shake or snack bar; this could be hard for dieters to follow as it may result in hunger pains and cravings. Also, the combined daily use of diuretics, laxatives and restricted caloric-intake may mean dieters are not receiving adequate levels of essential minerals and vitamins. This may result in adverse health consequences, as well as unwanted side effects, such as extreme fatigue.

The Thermojetics® weight loss plans are very expensive to use on a regular basis. The prices for packages vary from $97.35-$179.75 for not even a one-month supply; these price points were determined before product discontinuation.

There are other dietary supplement available which are less expensive and do not require the simultaneous use of other products. Diet supplements, which contain an appetite suppressant, such as Hoodia Gordonii, may be an important part of any weight management program.
