Best Thermogenic Ephedra Free Diet Pills It is hard to say what the best thermogenic ephedra free diet pills are but there are many diet pills that have replaced ephedra with other ingredients and there are some very good ones that never contained ephedra. Hoodia Gordonii is one of the most sought after diet pills on the market today. Hoodia Gordonii works very well alone without any other ingredients. It will suppress the appetite by making you feel full and some say it also increases energy. Other diet pills that are now ephedra free that you might recognize are Metabolife, Metabolite, Metabilift, Trimspa x32, Stacker 2 EF, Stacker 3 EF Zantrex-3, Diet Fuel, MegaPro, MuscleTech Hydroxycut, Xenadrine EFX and many more. Ephedra is a stimulant shrub plant and also a synthetic which was used for asthma, weight loss, the common cold, bronchial tube congestion, as an energy booster, and as a sports performance enhancer. Ephedra has been used by the Chinese for over 5,000 years as a medicine for lung problems. It has also been used by the Native Americans and Mexicans as a medicine for many years. There have been many people suffer from side effects from the use of products which contain ephedra. The Federal Drug Administration has had over 800 cases of people with illnesses and some deaths since 1994. In 2003 the FDA got the court to ban ephedra in the United States. The ban was lifted in 2005 after some people got together and filed a petition to allow ephedra back on the market. The courts lifted the ban but the products could contain no more than 10 mg. of ephedra. The court decided the FDA did not have enough evidence to prove that the ephedra was dangerous in small doses. Since 1997 the Food and Drug Administration received more than 1,000 reports of people taking ephedra and suffering from heart attacks and strokes and at least 17 deaths from using small doses as small as 8 mg. The FDA gathered all of the information and took it back to court in August, 2006 and ephedra was banned for the second and hopefully final time. There are still some people trying to fight to get ephedra back on the market but it may not happen this time. The numbers of people who have been injured and died from the use of the ephedra are just too great to ignore. Some of the side effects reported from those who took ephedra were heart attacks, strokes, rapid heartbeat, irregular heartbeats, insomnia, seizures, high blood pressure, nervousness, tremors, death and other side effects. Some who suffered from the effects of ephedra have been compensated for their injuries. All Text Copyright © Safety2005.org |
