Buy Ephedra You can not legally buy ephedra in the United States anymore because it was banned in the United States for the second time in 2006. Ephedra is a stimulant from both man made and natural sources. It was used in medications for asthma and also used as a stimulant in diet products. Trimspa diet pills were one of the natural sources for ephedra until it was banned. Trimspa replaced the ephedra with hoodia gordonii. The ephedra was banned in 2003 and then even the low doses were causing problems so it was banned again in 2006. Ephedra is a white, odorless, powdered or crystallized alkaloid which is isolated from shrubs of the genus ephedra and is also made genetically. Ephedra is a perennial that is native to central Asia. It grows in arid areas in the world and is also called Mormon Tea, Ma Haung, Squaw Tea, and Herbal Ectasy. It is a stimulator which increases metabolism and has been used by the Chinese for more than 5,000 years to treat lung problems. It has been added to diet supplements to aid in weight loss, enhance sports performance, and increase energy. The National Football League has banned their players from using anything that contains ephedra. The ephedra has been used to treat conditions such as asthma, congestion of the bronchial tubes, and the common cold. The ephedra can cause many side effects . These include insomnia, nervousness, rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, heart attack, seizure, stroke, and even death. Ephedra was banned because there were over 800 reports of bad results from it since 1994. The Food and Drug Administration found evidence that the ephedra had made these people sick or even killed some. The FDA considered this a serious risk to the public so they banned it in the United states. Some of the products which did contain ephedra are trimspa, Metabolife, Megapro, MuscleTech Hydroxycut, and Xenadrine EFX.. If you think you have suffered from an herbal supplement you should consult your doctor immediately. Ephedra is not supposed to be used in the United States but some of the products shipped from overseas might contain the herb. The Trimspa diet pill used to contain ephedra but it was replaced by hoodia gordonii after ephedra was banned in the United States. The Department of Health and Human Services also reported that ephedra presented risks for those who took products which contained ephedra. Ephedrine is similar to adrenaline. The effects of it are less powerful than adrenaline but they last longer in the body. Ephedra acts as a stimulant and can cause rapid or irregular heartbeats. It dilates the bronchial muscles, contracts nasal mucosa, raises blood pressure, and is a cardiac stimulant. Many people with existing health problems should not use this product.
