Ephedra Attorneys California

Looking for ephedra attorneys in California? You should do a search online or check with your local yellow pages. You can also talk to family or friends who have had lawsuits of this nature and they can help you find a good one in your area. Many people have already received compensation from serious ephedra health issues and in some cases death. Many people have filed (more everyday) and are waiting for their day in court. Side effects experienced with products containing ephedra were heart attacks, strokes, irregular heart beat, rapid heart beat, high blood pressure, seizures, insomnia, anxiety, tremors, nervousness, hives, itching, allergies, nausea, vomiting, psychosis, death and more. If you have suffered from the use of an ephedra product or have lost a family member from using a product with ephedra you may be entitled to compensation too. Discuss it with a good lawyer in your area and file a lawsuit against the company where you got the ephedra before the statute of limitations runs out.

Ephedra has now been banned in the United States so most products that contained ephedra have replaced ephedra with another alternative ingredient that is much safer to use. Ephedra was banned in 2003 and again in 2006 after many reports of hospital emergencies and at least 17 deaths were reported between 1994 and 2006 to the Food and Drug Administration. The FDA had some of the products tested to find out how much ephedra was in each dose. There were some products that contained more and some less than what was stated on the label of the products. Some of them did not contain any ephedra although it was listed on the label.

Ephedra has been around for at least 5,000 years because the Chinese have used it that long for lung ailments. It has also been used for many years by the Native Americans Mexicans and Mormons for many years. Ephedra is also known as Squaw Tea, Mormon Tea, Desert Tea, Herbal Ecstasy, Chinese Ephedra, Ma Huang, and Epitonin. Ephedra comes from the ephedra shrub which is found in desert regions in some parts of the world. The stems of the plant are dried and made into a white powder. It is also made synthetically. Ephedra was used as an energy booster, as a sports performance booster, as a weight loss product, for medicinal purposes such as asthma, congestion of the lungs, bronchial tubes, and sinuses, cough, common colds, fever, to stop sweating associated with an illness, and other purposes. One report says that the Chinese ephedra is more powerful than the other forms of ephedra used by the Native Americans, Mexicans, and Mormons.
