Ephedra Tea
Ephedra tea may not be available anymore. It definitely will not be easily found in the United States. Ephedra was banned in the United States in 2006 and most if not all products which was made in the United States has replaced ephedra with another herbal ingredient. Ephedra was found to be too dangerous to use and the Food and Drug Administration had the Federal court to ban it. There were too many reports of dangerous side effects and even deaths caused by products which contained ephedra. From all of the products which caused health issues the only common ingredient in all of them was ephedra. There were heart attacks, strokes, rapid heart beat, irregular heartbeat, insomnia, high blood pressure, anxiety, tremors, seizures, hives, itching, allergies, nausea, vomiting, and other side effects reported. There were over 1,000 serious hospital emergencies reported plus at least 17 deaths from 1997 to 2006 reported to the FDA. The FDA had some products which contained ephedra tested and the results showed that some of them showed more ephedra per dose than what it said on the labels of the products. Others showed less ephedra than what it specified on the labels. There were some that contained no ephedra at all. The reports received by the FDA showed that even in small doses of ephedra (as little as 8 mg) was still causing heart attacks and strokes in some people.
Some of the products which did contain ephedra also contained aspirin (willow bark, salicytes, salicylic acid) and caffeine ( guarana, kola nut, cocoa extract) which made a very deadly combination. People who had existing heart conditions and other medical problems were advised not to use ephedra. Plus those who were taking certain medications should not take ephedra because it does not mix well with some medications. One should have discussed it with their doctor before trying the product which contained ephedra. Some of the products which are now ephedra free are Hydroxycut, Ripped Fuel, Trimspa, Stacker 2 EF, Stacker 3 EF, Stacker Lite, Diet Fuel, Energy Fuel, Everslender, Metabolift, Metabolite, Metabolife, and many more. These products have replaced ephedra with another herb which is much safer and has no side effects. In many cases the replacement is Hoodia Gordonii which is in great demand as a weight loss product. It will work alone without any other ingredient in helping lose weight without any side effects. It has also been scientifically tested and every person and rat tested with Hoodia lost weight without diet or exercise. There is a lot of fake Hoodia products on the market today so make sure you do the research and get proof of authenticity before you buy it.
