They offer a Senior Care segment , CIGNA Choice Fund, and a Taft Hartley government segment. They also offer dental and pharmacy programs. They have a varied amount of plans to choose from. There are many other respectable health insurance companies that have been around for many years but CIGNA is one of the oldest in America. They are listed on the stock market. They service over 1.5 million Taft Hartley, Union, and Government members. They offer just about any kind of insurance you might need in the health or medical category.
There are millions of people who cannot afford health insurance and it is believed by many that the United States government should have a plan of some kind to supply individuals health coverage. There has been some plans submitted to the president but Bush just doesn’t see the need in our country but he does believe some other countries needs one. He isn’t even looking out his back door at the many low income people who do not have health care of any kind. Many people are suffering and he just doesn’t seem to care. There are some people who manage to get health insurance through their place of employment but there are just as many or more who are not offered the group discounts on health insurance or just can not afford the premiums because they are living from paycheck to paycheck just to get by. Some people who have children in the home or are disabled and are under certain income guidelines, they can get assistance from the government but there are others who are just as poor but do not qualify because they have no kids in the home.
