Health Agency
The health agency for the United States controls the overall health problems of the country. They want to be prepared for any pandemic or disease which might strike the nation. They also have health departments across the country to help low income families with health problems. They give away condoms in the hopes of preventing and controlling sex related diseases. The main idea is to catch a disease before it grows out of hand and can be contained without many people suffering or dying from it.
It is known that polluted water and human waste, if not disposed of properly, can cause very serious health issues. By helping the low income people live in a healthier environment, they are helping to prevent diseases. Many times children are taken from their parents because of unhealthy living conditions. In many cases those families involved will have the opportunity to clean up their surroundings and get their children back. In some cases, especially in drug related cases, they may not get the children back. It is a sad situation when children are pulled from their homes and from the only family they know and it causes trauma to the children. The conditions they are living in are also dangerous to their health so it is a very hard situation to deal with. Some conditions can not be helped but many of them can. Just because some people are poor does not mean they have to live in filth. Many times the families are renting homes from landlords that fail to modernize the homes or fix things when they get broken or worn out. In this case it is the landlords fault and many of them are help accountable for their lack of action as a landlord. If they have someone hired to do the maintenance work and it does not get done, they need to be reported to the health department. Renters who pay their rent on time deserve to be treated right. Many times there is nothing reported or done until the conditions of the dwelling is so bad the place has to be condemned and then the tenants are out in the street if they do not have the money to move. This is the reason many of them cannot move.
Many health issues can be prevented by simple methods and this would prevent the health agency from interfering with the lives of others. The National Institute of Health is the nation’s medical research agency and they are making major medical discoveries which will improve health and save lives. There are 27 Health Institutes and Centers which impact the health of children and teens, men, women, seniors, minorities, and research on the wellness and lifestyles of people.
