Health Diet Fitness


Health, diet, and fitness all go together to assure you of a very healthy life. You can improve your health by exercising and eating a proper diet. There is a new diet food pyramid that has been released and it not like the 7 basic food pyramid that we learned in health class many years ago. There is a thought that fruits, vegetables, grains (whole foods), fish, and a few other items are the answer to a healthy body. You can find the diet food pyramid online through a search engine. It explains how many servings of each that a person needs on a daily basis in order to be healthy and stay healthy. Mix this diet with exercise every day or at least 30 minutes of exercise at least 3 or 4 times per week. Even walking is good for you. Many people can not exercise because of health issues that prevent them to but the diet pyramid will also help them. This diet will also help you lose weight if you mix it with the exercise. It is not so much what items you eat as much as it is the amount of food that you eat. Eating smaller amounts and exercising will help you lose weight just as quick as any weight loss diet. Also a good idea is to take small bites and eat slow. For some reason this helps make you feel full quicker. Drinking water also helps. Stay away from the sodas and drinks that contain a lot of sugar. In fact stay away from all of the foods that contain a lot of sugar. Sugar and fats is the problem here and by decreasing those in your diet and adding more vegetables and fruits to your diet, you will lose weight and feel much healthier in the long run. By eating whole grains and fibers you will be helping your digestive system by helping to eliminate the free radicals in your body. By getting rid of the free radicals, your body can eliminate more fat that the body doesn’t need and will not absorb as much of it. Oats, rice, beans, and wheat are three of the main whole products that can make you healthier.

Many people are going back to the basics in that they are getting their fruits and produce as well as grains, meats, fish, poultry, eggs and milk from farmers markets that sell nothing but organic products. Organic products do not contain any pesticides or herbicides and they have been grown on a farm with no chemical sprays in the ground and has not been for at least two years. This is the only way they can be considered organic. One person recently was aired on the news and he stated that he was paying $12.00 for a gallon of fresh from the cow milk. He said he would drive as far as he needed to get it.
