Health Food


If you are looking for some kind of health food, you do not have to look very far. There are many so called “health foods” on the market today and some of them are good and some not so healthy. If there are a lot of additives, chemicals, or the processing method is not natural, the food is not as healthy for you as you might think. You should do your research on the products before you decide they are healthy for you. Another problem for society is the fact that scientists will state that some food is healthy for you then a few years down the road they change their minds and decide it isn’t good for you after all. This can be very discouraging if you depend on scientists for your every day living routine. Remember back when they claimed that fresh eggs and milk were bad for you? Well, now they claim that they are better for you than eggs from caged chickens and milk that has been processed. The organic foods like vegetables, fruits, eggs from free range chickens, milk from cows who have been raised and fed on non chemical pastures and feeds, fresh fish instead of processed or canned fish. The fruits and vegetables that have been grown without chemicals such as pesticides or fertilizers. Fresh organic foods of any sort are much better for you. It has been reported that the parents and grandparents of the baby boomers are much healthier than the baby boomers because of the processed foods that are available today and the fact that the parents and grandparents ate more fresh real foods with no preservatives, additives, or chemicals.

There is more processed foods on the market today than ever before and more being added each day. We now live in a fast paced world so people grab whatever is quick to fix or eat and giving very little thought to whether it is good for us or not. We are feeding these foods to our kids and grandkids so it stands to reason that our children and grandchildren may have even more health problems down the road because of the processed foods. People need to slow down enough to learn more about real and fresh organic foods as opposed to processed foods. If people are worried about their atmosphere, global warming, and health of their kids, they had better be worried about the food they are putting into their bodies too. Foods that have been raised by nature have to be much safer to eat than something that is made in a factory. Some of the processing and preserving methods are not healthy either so something needs to change.
