Health and Dental Insurance
There are many health and dental insurance companies all over the country and you can find one near you in your state. The coverage for health and dental insurance might differ from state to state and some are not available in all states so you need to get coverage from one in your state. Unless the company is licensed in different states, then you might be able to purchase it through an agent in another state that is close to you. They will tell you if they can help you or not and if not, they will recommend another agent to you within your own state.
There are many health and dental insurance companies to choose from and there are many different insurance plans to choose from. What your needs are may not be the same as they are for someone else. Families are different, and incomes are different, so what fits your needs and budget is how the costs of your insurance will be determined. Some people just need a single plan for one person. They may want a large deductible so their monthly premiums are smaller or they may want a small deductible and their premiums will be larger. It all depends on the needs and what the insured person wants. There is often a co-payment in some of the insurance plans. This co-payment will have to be paid each time the individual or family member goes to a doctors office or clinic. The deductible has to be paid yearly before the insurance company will help pay any of the medical bills. The deductible is money out of pocket to pay for medical bills and medications. After this has been paid, the insurance company will pay the portion (examples 50%, 80%, 100%) agreed upon in the policy and the insured person will be responsible for the remainder of the bills unless the hospital or doctors agree to accept the insurance payment as full payment. If this is the case you do not have to pay any more on that particular bill.
There are millions of people who are uninsured and cannot afford to go to a doctor should they become ill. They are left to fend for themselves and hope the problem will go away. Some companies will furnish their employees with health insurance and in some cases, dental insurance but many companies do not. Many people make such low wages that they cannot afford health insurance. There are some countries that provide health care for their citizens and the United States is considered one of the richest countries in the world but there are millions of families suffering because they can not afford to see a doctor and we have people living on the streets because they cannot afford a home of food. This puts a bad reflection on the United State.
