Small Business Health Insurance

There is now small business group health insurance available for people who work for small businesses. Many small businesses can not afford health insurance coverage for their employees but they can get the group rates available for their employees to purchase if they so choose to. They can get the health insurance much cheaper than they can by purchasing it by themselves outside of the job. There may be some small business companies that will pay for the health insurance but it is rare. At best, the company might pay a percentage of the monthly premiums for the employee and the employee will be responsible for the remainder of the premium which is deducted from their pay check. Sometimes the premiums are deducted from the paycheck weekly, monthly or sometimes every other week. Most insurance companies will try to work with the individual to make the expense as easy as possible for them. There are many different health insurance plans to choose from with many different deductibles. There may also be co-payments involved. The premiums will differ if you are purchasing a single plan for the individual or if you are purchasing a family plan with children or expecting children in the future. There may just be a need for a husband and wife who are not planning on having any children. The condition of your health often has a big impact on the premium costs too. If you have pre-existing health problems, the company will probably require two years to lapse before they will pay for the pre-existing conditions. If the health problems are serious enough, the individual may not be able to get health insurance.

There are millions of people who do not have health coverage or they do not have enough coverage to cover their health problems or maybe not cover the whole family. Some of these people do not have health insurance because they cannot afford it or they have serious health problems that prevents them from getting insurance from any company. Sometimes an individual might be able to get health insurance with a serious pre-existing condition, but it will cost them dearly/ In most cases they can not afford it so they have to suffer and go without medications they need because they cannot afford them either. The Federal Government helps some families who are low income and are under the guidelines, and if they have children in the home. Single people and couples who do not have any children at home are just out of luck unless they are old enough to get Medicare. That leaves a lot of people who falls through the crack of the system.
