Texas Health Insurance

Texas provides some health insurance programs for their residents (or some of them that qualify). There is a program called COBRA or State Continuation. There is also a program called the POOL Enrollment. You can read all about these plans on the texashealthinsurance.com website and other websites online. There may be other states that also have health insurance for their residents and you can research and find out if your state has any health insurance available for their residents. Some states do not have anything to offer their residents except for the medicaid offered by the DHS state aid. The medicaid is not available to everyone. Just low income people withing a certain age range with children in the home are eligible. Some people who are in certain age groups fall between the cracks because the state guidelines does not include them. People who are older and do not have children in the home can not get any help unless they are on Social Security or SSI. The ones who are not proven to be disabled and are not old enough for medicare or SS can not get any help with medical expenses or medications.

Health insurance is a much needed thing but many people can not afford it and many companies do not offer it to their employees. There are millions of people without health insurance so they are not getting the medical care they might need because they cannot afford the medical expenses or medications. In many cases the individuals have to decide between food or medications because their budget does not allow for both. In most cases they opt for the food. It does not make any sense why some countries can supply their residents free healthcare while the United States (supposed to be one of the richest countries in the world) has so many people suffering because they need medical care and also many also need food and shelter. The governments of some countries try to cover up the facts or pretend that they do not exist but there are real people out there who can verify that these statements are true. If other countries that are not near as ‘rich’ as the United States can offer their residents free health care, then there should be a way that the United states could as well. There is too much money wasted by the United States Government. The tax money is there, it is just not managed right. There are many reports to back up these statements also. We hear reports on the news about government waste. Just a few days ago there was a report about some airplane that the Air Force didn’t even want and our government is spending millions of dollars on it. This is just one example.
