United Health Care The United States health care system stinks! There are over forty-four million people who have no health care insurance and can not afford the health care they so badly need. People are suffering in the United states and the government does not take the time to solve the problem. Maybe they are trying to lessen the population by letting them die because they can not afford medical help. But those same people are paying taxes so the government officials can get all of the best health care that money can buy. There seems to be a problem with this picture and many people are upset about the situation. Many loved ones are suffering and dying because they do not get the proper health care they need because they can not pay the high cost of health care and cannot afford health insurance. They are doomed either way and the government is doing nothing to try to fix the situation. There are other countries who are giving free medical help for their people. If others can do it, why can’t the richest country in the world do it for their people? It doesn’t make sense. Evidently there is too much of the people’s tax money wasted so there is not enough to give the people the medical help they need. Another part of the problem is the fact that doctors and hospitals are charging way too much for their services. This is mainly to the people who do not have health insurance. Drugs are too expensive for the underpaid worker to afford so the people have no chance. The common hard worker is paying for the government officials to live in luxury at the cost of the lower class’s expense and health. The government puts a lid on what the utility companies can charge their customers but the doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies can charge whatever they want for their services. Many doctors do not give their patients the bedside manner that doctors from 30 years ago did. More time than none it is a money thing more than it is that they actually care for their patients health. Physicians look for people who are on medicare or people with health insurance because they know they will be paid. So much for caring for people. They will tell the people to come back for office follow up visits when it really isn’t necessary. Sometimes a follow up visit is necessary but sometimes the patient is told to come back over and over. Sometimes this is not necessary so it has to be so the doctor can make more money. Pharmaceutical companies promote drugs that are not approved by the FDA . There are 225,000 to 257,000 people have died from medical mistakes made by doctors because of these off-label prescription drugs. All Text Copyright © Safety2005.org |
