Computer Home Security System Your home computer needs as much security as your home. It can be invaded and all of your private personal information stolen. If you do not have any security on your computer, you are leaving it wide open for any and all hackers to steal your identity, passwords, ID's and any personal information you have put on your computer. Bank records, credit cards, etc. can be stolen from you very quickly if someone hacks into your computer. There are many computer security programs you can get to ensure your information is safe. There is a firewall on your computer which was installed when you first purchased your computer but why not have another one? Two firewalls are much better than one. Zone Alarm is a free firewall you can download from the website. It is compatible with the other firewalls. Your computer also needs virus and trojan protection. Your computer system may already have this too but it may not be enough to catch all of the bugs and viruses your computer may come in contact with while on the internet. If your virus/trojan security system should miss a bug and it enters your computer, you need to eliminate it as soon as possible. In order to do this, you need to scan your computer with your computer security program. Norton and McAfee are the two most popular ones which usually are included with your computer if you purchase it new. They will already be uploaded for you. You need to run your security program and scan the computer for any viruses or bugs. The security program should find them on your hard drive and in your files and destroy them. Sometimes one security program will not find all of the viruses and a backup security program is a good idea. There are some very good ones available on the internet. One free one that is very good for getting rid of viruses is Ad-Aware which can be downloaded from the internet. A very good trojan security program is Spybot-Search and Destroy which is also free. These two programs will scan your computer and destroy the invaders for you. There are other security programs such as 'Panda'. It has been said that it is also a good one to consider. All of these security programs are compatible on the computer and do not cause any problems with your computer. These programs should also be used every few days for best results. Keep your information safe by installing a good security system on your computer. It is very stressful and costly to lose your identity and accounts to a hacker thief.
