Consumer Home Report Security System

Before you decide which security systems company you want to purchase your security system from you might want to search the internet for a consumer home report about the security company. While no security company has a perfect record, they can not please everyone all of the time, there may be a few legitimate complaints from a particular company. Check them out so you know if the complaints are valid complaints or just trouble makers looking to get a refund for an invalid reason. There are going to be a few complaints here and there from all of the companies because everyone is human so there should be room for error, however that is no excuse for rudeness from the employees unless the customer gets irate and nasty with them. Even if this is the case the employee is supposed to stay as calm as possible and not lose their temper or be rude to the customers. if they can not get through to the customer in a calm way, they should turn the complaint over to someone higher up the ladder and let the administration handle it.

ADT offers a free security system to their prospective customers. However, they have to sign an agreement to pay a monthly fee for their monitoring service for a specified period of time, usually two or three years. However they are having a few problems with customers who signed the agreement because they don't feel like they should have to pay the fees agreed upon. If you do not understand the agreement or contract, ask questions until you do understand it or have a lawyer read the contract answer them for you. Do not sign anything until you fully understand it. This causes problems for you as well as the company. They are obligated to explain everything to you up front and you are obligated to understand the contract before you sign it. If you do not want to agree to their 2 year monitoring contract, do not accept the security system or sign the dotted line.

Spectrum Security had a complaint against them because a customer signed a three year contract with them and they didn't realize it. Then Spectrum sold out to King Central who are only concerned about getting their monthly payments. It is hard to say here who should do what but if this guy wants the service, he needs to pay the monthly fees like he agreed upon. He claims he is moving and King Central are not interested in helping him relocate the security equipment. It is hard to say here if the guy is telling the whole story or not. He may have called the company and got nasty with them so they are not in any hurry to help him, or he owes so much back fees the company does not want to invest any more of their time or money into helping the customer move the system. It is hard to determine who is in the wrong here, maybe a lawyer should intervene and settle the matter.

There are some complaints about security systems as stated before but there are many more satisfied customers than there are dissatisfied ones. The biggest problem may be that the contract or agreement is not read or understood. The company should stress how important it is to read the agreement and ask questions BEFORE the customer signs it. It sure could save a lot of headaches and hard feelings from all of those concerned.
