Free Home Security System Free Home Security System? Do you really believe that? Home security is important and many people know this so that statement will catch a lot of people up in the process because they all want security for their homes and families but just can not afford to pay much for it. It is a natural and common thing to see people jump when they see the word 'Free'. Just be careful and do not get strapped to a contract you can not afford and can not get out of. Read the fine print first before you sign on that dotted line! Sometimes it is cheaper to buy the security system and sign up for the monitoring service of your choice because the prices vary from company to company. Do the research and read the contracts, check out the companies, and find out what systems and devices they have and at what prices. Do not get stuck in something you are not prepared to follow through with. Make sure it is a deal you can live with and one that offers you great service. A 'free' system usually is not free at all. The price of the system is added into the service somewhere. The 'good deal' may not be as good as it looks. Most companies which offer the free home security system require that you sign up for their monitoring service for at least three years. If you do the math and you want to monitor your system yourself, it is much cheaper to just pay for the system of your choice. You can even install it yourself and save even more. Most security systems are easy to install and come with easy installation instructions. The wireless security systems are very easy to install and in some cases do not require any tools to install them. The security of your home is important and the homeowner needs to do as much as possible, within the budget, to make sure his family and property are protected. If the budget only allows for minor adjustments and simple devices, that is alright. Begin with devices such as deadbolt locks on doors and windows, motion detector lights, remote controls on inside lights, television, etc. to come on and go off at designated times, and other cheap, reasonable, but secure ways to keep your family safe. There are many reasonably priced devices the homeowner can use to deter the intruder. But do not get caught up in a long contract that you can not get out of, just to get a 'free' security system. You want to be able to trust the company ypu purchase your security systems from and not mistrust them because of a contract you wish you had never signed. All Text Copyright © Safety2005.org |
