The security you have for your computer is just as important as the security for your home. There are many thieves out there who can track your every move on the computer and gain access to your most private information. To avoid this and minimize the risk, it is your responsibility to acquire as much security as possible to ensure your private details stay private to you only. There are many free security software programs you can download to help you secure your computer from unwanted intruders. Many of them are compatible and will not interfere with your existing security software already installed on your computer. A good firewall to install and is free is Zone Alarm. It is easy to install and will add to your firewall already on your system. Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware are two virus and spyware control software downloads which are also free. Download them and run them every day or so to insure a clean computer when surfing or working online. There is other very reliable security software you can download and some of it is free and some requires a fee. As long as you have plenty of security software on your computer it doesn't matter if it is free or a paid service. The free services generally have upgraded services and you can acquire even more protection if you can afford it. If you can not afford it, a little security is much better than none. It has been stated that the Windows security software has holes in it and spyware and viruses can sneak in through these holes.
