Wireless Home Security System

The wireless home security system is getting more popular that the hardwire type. It takes a lot less time to install and does not cost as much to pay for the installation. The hardwire systems require more time to install because all of the wires have to connected and then hidden and out of the way so as not to be a nuisance to the resident and his family.

The wireless security system is very easy to install and the homeowner may want to install it himself. There are no tools or wiring needed. All you have to do is plug it in. All of the sensors are wireless and security coded. Mount the wireless sensor in the areas that you want protected (within the designated areas no larger than stated in the installation directions) and you are ready to program it. With some wireless systems you never pay a monitoring fee, there are no codes to memorize, and they will share your existing phone line so there is no need to set up another one just for the security system.

When the wireless home security system goes off, a loud siren and flashing lights will deter the intruder and alert the family and the neighbors if the family is not at home. The system will call your cell phone or any phone number you have set it for. You can also be connected to a monitoring system with the company where you purchased the security system and they will contact the authorities after they have determined that it is not a false alarm.

It is a good idea to install a home security system when you are going to be away from home for a while. Either the wireless or the hardwired one will do as long as you have your house safe. Some systems can be set for either at home or away modes for more convenience and peace of mind. These systems will sound off a loud alarm when someone gets near a window or door or wherever the sensors are installed. This will scare the intruder and will alert the neighbors and also the monitoring company if you have one. Some systems can be set to call up to four phone numbers until it gets an answer when your alarm is set off if you are at home or away. This will eliminate the need for a monitoring service. If there is a neighborhood watch program in your area, one or two of the phone numbers could be those of your neighbors or friends. Do whatever it takes to keep your home and your family safe.
