The Phentermine weight loss drug was first introduced to the public in 1959 and was to be used by the obese who needed to lose weight quickly in order to prevent severe health issues. The food and Drug Administration approved of it as an appetite suppressant and a stimulant for the central nervous system. The Phentermine drug is addictive and was to be used for short term only. When stopped, the drug has to be done slowly to prevent withdrawal symptoms. An average of about twelve weeks is stated to be the safest length of time to use the drug. The Food and Drug Administration closely monitor this drug because it is an amphetamine and it is classified as a Schedule IV controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act. Those who should not use the Phentermine drug are those under eighteen years of age, have heart problems, high blood pressure, glaucoma, agitation, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, epilepsy, anxiety disorder, pregnant or nursing, atherosclerosis, history of drug or alcohol abuse, allergy of other sympathomimetic amines, or are taking certain medications. Discuss the drug with your doctor before you take any. It may not be the answer for you. There are alternative weight loss products that work just as well and are not nearly as dangerous.

The herbal form of Phentermine and Hoodia Gordonii are two very good alternative weight loss products you might want to consider. Both are made from 100% all natural herbs which work well and are at the top of the list in weight loss products. The herbs in the herbal Phentermine are Green Tea, Biotin, Bioperine, L-Carnitine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Camellia Sinensis, and Piper Nigrum. The Hoodia Gordonii is a cactus-like succulent herb found in the Kalahari desert. These natural herbal products suppress the appetite, increase energy and boost metabolism while it helps burn fat and calories.
