Phentermine Diet

The Phentermine diet plan includes the Phentermine diet pill plus a proper diet and exercise. Phentermine was introduced to the public in 1959 when it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration as an appetite suppressant and a central nervous system stimulant. It is one of the leading weight loss drugs. Clinical trials showed that by using Phentermine with a 1,000 a day calorie diet and exercise, there was an average weight loss of 26.9 pounds. It is designed for short term use only because it is habit forming. Since it is habit forming, you should wean yourself from it gradually to prevent withdrawal symptoms. It should not be taken for more than fourteen weeks according to some doctors. You should discuss it with your doctor about stopping the dosage slowly.

There is the possibility of many side effects when taking the Phentermine diet drug. These symptoms are allergic reactions such as swelling of the tongue, face, and lips, difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, or hives, irregular heartbeat, very high blood pressure, hallucinations, abnormal behavior, confusion, tremors, nervousness, anxiety, restlessness, headache, dizziness, insomnia, dry mouth, bad taste in your mouth, constipation, diarrhea, impotence or changes in sex drive. If you are taking Phentermine and experience any of these symptoms or other symptoms, contact your physician as soon as possible. You should use caution when driving or operating heavy equipment or doing other hazardous activities. Do not crush or chew Phentermine. Take it whole with a full glass of water.

You can not take Phentermine if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) , glaucoma, if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor such as isocarboxazid, tranylcypromine, or phenelzine within the last 14 days, or if you have a history of drug or alcohol abuse. You should tell your doctor if you have problems with your thyroid, anxiety disorder, epilepsy or other seizure disorder, or diabetes. If you have any of the problems listed, you may not be able to take Phentermine or you may have to take just a mild form of it and be closely monitored while you are taking it. It is not known yet if Phentermine will harm a baby if you are pregnant or nursing so you should talk to your doctor about it. Since the drug is habit forming, it may harm the baby if you are pregnant or through the breast milk if you are nursing.
