Band Rehab The band “Rehab” is an Atlanta, Georgia based quintet known as Danny Boone Alexander (vocals & MC), Mike Hartnett (guitar), Foz (guitar), Hano Leathers (bass), and Chris Hood (drums). These men work together to write the songs and they all try to get their feelings and experiences as well as a mix of the type of music they like to hear. Their first album “Southern Discomfort” has songs that seems to come from their hearts and soul. The names of the songs on this album are, Crazy People, Drinkin’ Problem, Hey Fred, It Don’t Matter, Kick My Ass, More Like You, Ms. Jones, Scarecrow, Sittin’ At A Bar, and Thinkin’ Again. The lyrics of some of these songs discuss drinking and feeling which indicate that someone is having a problem with alcohol and may be their way of asking for help. Their music is good but some of their lyrics are not good for childrens to hear. They do use foul language in their songs which is not good for kids to listen to. The whole band contributes in the writing of the lyrics and the music so the end results are hits that some people like to listen to. The band was formed in the late 1990's and consisted of rap and rock. They released their debut album “Southern Discomfort in 2000. The album included guest stars such as Cee-Lo, Goodie Mob, and Cody Chestnut. The song “It Don’t Matter” was a spin off of the album and it sold over 140 thousand copies. This gave the band the opportunity to kick off a two year tour which supported the Vans Warped Tour and other bands like Kottonmouth Kings and Linkin Park. Three years ago the group split up and in spite of the personal and financial problems, Danny got together a new version of the band. From that “Graffiti the World” was born. The album is considered by Danny as a station in life and how one is trying to get to the next area of their life or stop. Danny has had the help of his band members as well as A-List producers/mixers Billy Hume who has also helped people like The Ying Yang Twins, David Banner, and Bonecrusher. He also had the assistance of Phil Tan who had worked with Singers such as Snoop, The Neptunes, and Mariah Carey. The Rehab band is fairly new so we will probably hear much more from them in the future. Time will tell if they will have a long lasting career. You can find the lyrics to their songs online and also download their music from one of the sites that allow it. Please do not steal the music. All of the artists spend a lot of their time entertaining the world so they have worked hard for their share of the sales of their music. All Text Copyright © Safety2005.org |
