Bartender Rehab

The musical group Rehab has a hit song that is named “Sittin’ At a Bar” and it is about a man who is telling the bartender about all of his troubles. Their songs have some good music to them but the lyrics are not very good for children to listen to. They try to write their songs about how they feel and with the music they want to listen to. Their first album was released in 2000 and they called it “Southern Discomfort”. The songs on the album are Crazy People, Drinkin’ Problem, Hey Fred, It Don’t Matter, Kick My Ass, More Like You, Ms. Jones, Scarecrow, Sittin’ At A Bar, and Thinkin’ Again”.You can find the lyrics and music to the songs on the internet in many places and some are downloadable. Here are some of the lyrics to Sittin’ AT A Bar:
Bartender I really did it this time
Broke my parole to have a good time
When I got home it was 6 a.m.
The door was locked so I kicked it in.
She was trippin’ on the bills
I think she was high on some pills.
She threw my shit out into the yard
Called me a bum and smacked me real hard.
And in my drinkin’ stuper
I did what I should never have done.
Now I’m sittin’ here talkin’ to you
Drunk and on the run.
I’m sittin’ at a bar on the inside
Waitin’ for my ride on the outside.
She broke my heart in the trailer park
So I jacked the keys to her f—in car.
Crashed that piece of s— and then stepped away.
You can find the rest of the lyrics online. Rehab is based in Atlanta, Georgia and there are five men in the group. They are Danny Boone Alexander (vocals & MC), Mike Hartnett (guitar), Foz (guitar), Hano Leathers (bass), and Chris Hood (drums). Their latest album is Graffiti the World. The songs are a work of combined work from all of the members of the band. They wanted to tell the world what kind of music they wanted to hear and how they feel. The group came together in the late 1990's. They make combination mash-ups of rock and rap. On their Southern Discomfort album they also had guest stars such as Goodie Mob, Cody Chestnut, and Cee-Lo. The top 15 modern rock hit “It Don’t Matter” was a spin off from this album and it sold over 140 thousand copies. This gave them enough money to set up a two year national tour. You can find out a lot more about the Rehab band on the internet.
