Drug Rehab Program
There is a drug and alcohol rehab treatment center in every large and in some medium cities across the country. It should not be hard to find one near you if you need one or know of someone who does. There may be more than one rehab center in the larger cities. Drug and alcohol rehab is a multi-phase treatment and it requires the detox process of the mind, body, and soul. Just getting the poison out of the system is not enough. The mind has to be educated on the harmful traits the drugs and alcohol does and also the cause of the addiction has to be discovered and dealt with before the individual can move on to a normal life. The victim has to be educated on how and what to do when they leave the rehab center when they have peer pressure, etc. This is to keep them from reverting back to the old addiction habits. Gamblers who are addicted have to go through rehab too but the program will be somewhat different. Everyone has different circumstances and different situations so their treatment will be programed to fit their individual needs. New tools are needed for each individual in order for them to cope when they return to their everyday lives. Many people do not realize that they can turn to their religion instead of turning to drugs or alcohol. Doing drugs or alcohol only adds to the problems, not to mention the expenses. They are expensive and they will destroy your body and lead the victim to an early grave if they let it.
Every drug on the market and the illegal drugs have many possible side effects and many of them are very dangerous. Alcohol destroys the liver and kidneys and extreme alcoholics will undoubtedly have liver problems at an early age. In some cases this causes a very early death, some as early as in their 40's or 50's. The drugs, whether they are over the counter, prescription, or illegal, are all dangerous and the Food and Drug Administration supports the prescription and over the counter drugs knowing full well what they can do to people. Their way of thinking is that the drugs help more people than they hurt. This is not necessarily true because the long term use of the drugs will hurt everyone taking them. The FDA has a hand in the money pit that drugs make for the drug companies. There are alternative all natural supplements that will help the individual and not harm them but the FDA has no control over them so they are going to try to have them banned from the market. Every time something helpful and safe comes along the government takes it off of the market with some flimsy excuse. Natural herbal supplements cost less, have no side effects, and needs no doctors prescriptions to get them.
