Rehab Southern Discomfort

Southern Discomfort is the first album that the singing group Rehab released in the year 2000. There are five men in the band and they are Danny Boone Alexander (vocal & MC), Mike Hartnett (guitar), Foz (guitar), Hano Leathers (bass), and Chris Hood (drums). The band is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The band was formed in the late 1990's and they wanted to make their music into something that they liked and where they could share their feelings and thoughts. In their Southern Discomfort album there were guest stars such as Cody Chestnutt, Goody Mob, Cee-Lo and others. The song “It Don’t Matter” was a spinoff of the album and it sold over 140 thousand singles. This gave them enough financing to plan a two year national tour.

The songs on the album Southern Discomfort are Crazy People, Drinkin’ Problem, Hey Fred, It Don’t Matter, Kick My Ass, More Like You, Ms. Jones, Scarecrow, Sittin’ At A Bar, and Thinkin’ Again. Parents with small children may not want their children listening to the music because there are some vulgar words in the lyrics. The music is good but some of the lyrics are not so nice and many people do not want their children listening to the cuss words that are in the lyrics of Rehab’s songs.
Danny had the help of his band and he also collaborated with others as well when the band came up with Graffitti the World, their latest album. They had the assistance of Billy Hume and Phil Tan. Phil had worked with the Neptunes, Snoop, and Mariah Carey in the past as well as others. More information about this album and the singers can be found online. You can also find the lyrics and music of the songs on their Southern Discomfort album online.
Here are a few of the lyrics of Sittin’ At A Bar:
Bartender I really did it this time
Broke my parole to have a good time.
When I got home it was 6 a.m.
The door was locked so I kicked it in
She was trippin’ on the bills
I think she was high on some pills.
She threw my shit out into the yard
Called me a bum and smacked me real hard
And in my drunkin’ stupor
I did what I should have never done
Now I’m sittin’ here talkin’ to you
Drunk and on the run.
I’m sittin’ at a bar on the inside
Waitin’ for my ride on the outside
She broke my heart in the trailer park
So I jacked the keys to her f---in’ car.
Crashed that piece of shit and then stepped away.
