Spears in Rehab

Pop star Britney Spears checked into a rehabilitation facility because of some trouble with the law but she refused to stay in it and checked out within 24 hours. Britney is 25 years old and she checked herself into the Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Centre in Antigua. But she would not stay so she could get some treatment. Britney’s former assistant, Felicia Culotta, made the statement that the 25 year old pop star needs to get her act together because she is headed for rock bottom. This statement was made through an email. Felicia had worked for Britney for about ten years.

Britney filed for a divorce from her husband, Kevin Federline, in November and Britney has gottne into a lot of trouble because of her partying, drinking and sloppy appearance since then. There is some discussion as to what is to become of her two children and will she lose her parental rights because of her wild life.

Britney again checked herself into a rehab facility. This time it was the Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility and stayed for almost a month. Some people are wondering just how long she will stay clean this time. It takes a lot of will power to stop drinking and taking drugs but it can be done and many people have been successful at it but some will fall back into the black abyss they were in before rehab. It is very important to find friends who will back you up and who are not doing the drug or alcohol scene. If you go right back to the same situation you were in before rehab, there is a big chance that you will fall back into your old habits.

Rehab is not just a detox treatment. There are different steps to the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse and detoxification is just the first step. Britney Spears is just one of many stars who have entered the rehab centers for help. They are under a lot of pressure from the public, news media, and their managers. They have no private life at all. Every little thing they do will be published if it is found out and with all of the news media and others taking pictures, digging up their background etc., they have no life of their own. The stars have to be very strong and if they aren’t they will fall back on alcohol and drugs to help them cope with their problems. They also need very strong, faithful friends and family to help them and not become a part of the victims problem. Many times peer pressure is a big part of the problem.
