Energy Supplements


There are many supplements that give you more energy and are beneficial to your health. Some of the most popular ones are bee pollen, royal jelly, ginseng, barley grass, blue green algae, chromium, L-Carnitine, gotu kola, and other proprietary synergistic herbal blends. Ginseng also stimulates concentration, mental alertness, and endurance and helps relieve stress. Whey protein powder is one of the most popular energy supplements on the market. It is also one of the cheapest. Many sportsmen, weight lifters, and those who exercise rigorously need energy supplements to give them back the energy lost after their workouts. Other known energy supplements are ribose, eleuthero root, primrose oil, DHEA, Biotin, milk thistle extract, alpha lipoic acid, and others. Some of the energy supplements are time-released so the benefits are released over a period of time instead of getting the benefits all at once.

Guarana (ephedra), was also used until it was banned in the United States in October, 2006. Ehendra is a natural herb which was being used for an energy booster, as a sports performance booster, as a weight loss supplement, and for medical purposes such as colds, sinus congestion, lung and bronchial tube congestion, and for many other medicinal purposes. The Chinese had used ephedra for over 5,000 years and it is said to be one of the oldest medicines on record. There were many serious side effects reported and users of ephedra products were suffering from heart attacks, strokes, and some deaths. There were also other serious side effects such as high blood pressure, rapid heart beat, irregular heart beat, and many others. Other names for ephedra besides guarana are Chinese ephedra, squaw tea, Mormon tea, and desert tea.

Many people are using natural supplements and herbs today to help them maintain their health. Most people are not getting the needed vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients needed to sustain a healthy body. There are natural supplements for all parts of the body and more and more people are turning to them for health and wellness because most of them do not contain side effects and are cheaper plus they actually work and are safer to use. Many people can not afford the expensive medications available and many do not have healthcare so they do what they have to in order to survive. Many doctors and scientists are beginning to see the benefits of the natural supplements. Our ancestors have know the benefits of them for thousands of years but they were not acknowledged until recent years. Before that people were considered witch craft, witch doctors, etc. if they used the supplements to heal people. Many people are not getting the daily nourishment needed to keep a healthy body so the supplements will help fill the gap.
