Fish oil supplements have many benefits for the body. It helps increases growth hormone levels and helps muscle growth, reduces blood clotting, is good for the heart, dilates blood vessels, lowers blood pressure, suppresses inflammation, and relieves depression. Diets that are high in Omega-3 fatty acid may reduce triglyceride levels in the blood and helps lower cholesterol and blood pressure levels at a safe level, but there might be a large amount of fish oil to show any results. It has been reported that diets high in fish is linked to reduced incidences of heart attacks. It is stated that it isn’t important how much fish you eat, it matters that you eat it. Eating fish once a week appears to be just as affective as when you eat it 3 or 4 times a week. It is thought that if you use 10 grams of fish oil per day it will prevent mood swings which is common in depressive states. This gives real promise for treating other disorders such as ADHD. If there are high amounts of fish oil taken it may reduce blood clotting so much that it may cause bleeding or lead to hemorrhages. Fish oil as well as many other natural supplements and herbs are used much more today than it was a few years ago. It was not too long ago that scientists and doctors were discouraging the use of supplements but now many of them are encouraging the use of them. Natural supplements are proving to be much healthier and beneficial and less dangerous than some drugs on the market. Some prescription drugs and even some over the counter drugs have the possibility of some very serious side effects. There are so many drugs advertised on the television that make claims to fix one problem but then they announce that the drug may cause kidney failure, liver damage, high blood pressure, or some other serious side effects. What good does it do to fix one problem if it is destroying another vital part of our body? There are some people who are taking a whole handful of pills every day or even more than once a day because they began with one problem and started taking a medication for it then the medication caused another problem so they had to get another medication to fix that and so on until they find themselves taking a bunch of pills all because of one initial problem. People are beginning to trust supplements more than they are drugs. Supplements do not usually have side effects and when one occasionally does, it is usually mild.
