Livestock and Supplement
Supplement feed for livestock and pets is also available today so they too can get the recommended daily vitamins and minerals to sustain a healthy body. There is supplements for beef and dairy cows, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, and pets. Each different animal has different needs. There have been dietary supplements for animals sold for years, some legally, some not. Dietary supplements for animals are to treat or prevent some diseases and others are to balance out the animals diet. Some feeds do not contain all of the daily vitamin and mineral needs of the animals so the supplements will help fill in the gaps. There are mineral and salt blocks for cows, horses, sheep and goats. There is liquid feed supplement which fills the animals appetite as well as furnish the necessary nutrients needed. The liquid feed supplement will provide feed for the animals and they do not eat as much other dry feeds because the liquid feed gives them the full feeling and it saves on dry feeds. Many farmers are now using the liquid feed supplement.
Dietary supplements for animals come in pill or liquid form and the directions for giving them will be listed on the individual supplement. One of the supplements made for farm animals comes in a tub and the animals lick the supplement out of the tub. It is a gel like liquid which is water proof and weatherproof and gives the animals the quality nutrition they need daily. Plus it makes the pasture grass go farther so there is adequate feed for all of the livestock. There is limited consumption for better cost control and it is a labor saving convenience for the farmer. They just place the tubs in the pasture and do not have to replace them until they are empty. How long they last depends on the number of the herd you are feeding. There are numerous formulas for the different situations and different cattle and other animals. For instance dairy cattle need a different formula than the beef cattle. This diet supplement is a very effective tool for grazing and pasture management.
One of the most popular liquid feed diet supplements is Crystalyx brand. It is formulated with plant protein products. Several of their products use hydrolyzed feather meal in their formula.
