Protein Supplement If you want to build your muscles, protein supplement is a necessity to succeed. One of the most popular protein supplements, and also one of the cheapest, is whey protein powder. You will get pure protein power with no extra carbohydrates or fat. It is available in vanilla flavor so it isn’t hard to drink. Whey protein is not a replacement for food, it just makes it easier to get the right amounts of protein for your body. Other well known protein supplements are protein drinks you find on the shelves in the supermarket. Just be careful and do not buy those with a lot of salt, fats, or carbohydrates in them. Also it is wise to stick to the natural protein sources and forget the artificial stuff. The artificial products may give you protein but it is usually full of artificial ingredients and additives that may be dangerous to other vital parts of the body. All natural products are always much better. Stay away from the synthetic products as much as possible. There are many protein shakes and drinks as well as protein bars on the market. You can do some research to find out which ones are the best to buy and the ones that contain the least amount of fats, carbs, and salt. There are a lot of processed foods that contain a lot of salt (sodium) and salt is not good for those who have high blood pressure. Some people prefer to mix their own protein drinks by blending fresh fruits and vegetables as well as eggs and other raw products. Even these products are now being proven to contain chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals which were sprayed on while in the growing process. As far as the eggs are concerned, the feed, that was fed to the chickens that laid them, contains chemicals also. To get the safest raw products you will have to get them at a health food store or a farmers market where only organically grown products are sold. Organically grown means that there were no chemicals involved in the growing process of the products. Many people do not have access to the organically grown products so they have to make do with what is available in their area. You might be able to order organically grown products online and have them shipped to you. Of course it would have to be products that could be shipped safely without destroying them. You can discuss protein products with people you work out with, owners of workout centers, your doctor, and you can go online and check out some of the forums and chat rooms where protein products are a topic of discussion and get information from members there.
