Did Using Trimspa Kill Anna
Did using Trimspa weight loss pills Kill Anna Nicole Smith? That is a question some are asking. It has been reported that it was not known if Anna was still taking the Trimspa pills at the time of her death on February 8, 2007. There may be other new found results by now. There was reports that stated that there were no illegal drugs in Anna’s body at the time of her death.
The Trimspa company was having financial problems back in 2003 when they heard that Anna Nicole Smith made the statement that she had lost 69 pounds in about 8 months while taking the Trimspa weight loss pills. Trimspa then hired Anna as their spokesperson for the diet pills. She was in Trimspa commercials and banner ad campaigns. The sales of the weight loss pills increased tremendously and many felt that it was due to Anna Nicole joining the company as their spokesperson. She was the spokesperson for the company up until her death in February. The Trimspa company did well for a few years then the law suits and complaints began to surface and the sales again began to fall off. The company has been in another slump for the last three years. The lawsuits also name Anna Nicole along with Trimspa marketers because they promoted the diet product for the company. It was also learned that Anna was also taking other aids to help her lose her weight when she was taking the Trimspa diet pills. The charges of the lawsuits were for false advertising. The company made statements about what the diet pills could do for people that did not happen. The Federal Trade Commission fined the company $1.5 million for false advertising and not having the scientific proof to back up their statements about the diet pills. The company agreed to pay the fine, not to admit guilt, but so the Federal Trade Commission would stop their investigation of the company which had been going on for about two years. All of the bad publicity and the death of Anna Nicole are said to be part of the failure of the company’s sales. The company was in financial difficulty a long time before Anna’s death. Some feel that the company will not last much longer. There are still lawsuits pending. Some people complained that the diet pills did nothing for them. Others made the statements that they lost a few pounds while taking the Trimspa pills but gained them all back plus more after they stopped taking the pills. Some could not take the pills because they experienced side effects. Time will tell what the future of the company will be.
