Direction Trimspa No one knows for sure which direction that the Trimspa company is headed in the future. They are involved with law suits and paying fines for making false statements that they could not prove with scientific proof. They have been charged with false advertising. There are many disappointed customers who tried the Trimspa weight loss pills and they did not help them lose weight at all. Others say they lost a few pounds but immediately put the weight back on plus more after they stopped taking the pills. Some claimed they suffered from side effects and had to stop taking the pills. The reported side effects are stomach ache, lower intestinal pains, knees, elbows, and wrists joint pain, jitters, migraines, insomnia, anxiety, heart palpitations, chromium toxicity, increased blood glucose, swelling of the throat or esophagus which could cause choking if not enough water is taken with the pills, allergic reaction to shellfish, sensitivity to caffeine, trouble breathing, or trouble swallowing. Some people can not use the Trimspa weight loss pills because of existing medical problems and/or certain medications they are taking. Many medications will not mix with the Trimspa pills. The company keeps several of the ingredients a secret and the ingredients that are listed on the labels on the bottles does not say how much of the ingredient is in the pills. The company claims their reason for secrecy is because they do not want someone to steal their formula. The company was fined $1.5 million by the Federal Trade Commission because of their false claims and statements made about what the products could do for the people. The company agreed to pay the fine on January 4, 2007 and claimed it was not an admission of guilt, it was just to stop the investigation. The Trimspa company was having financial trouble and was about as low as they could go without filing for bankruptcy when they learned that Anna Nicole Smith had made the claim that she lost 69 pounds in 8 months while taking Trimspa weight loss pills. The company hired her on in 2003 as their spokesperson and began commercials and banner ad campaigns with Anna Nicole in them. The sales began to soar and they increased tremendously over the next year. Then after the lawsuits and complaints started coming in, the sales began to fall again. For the past three years the sales of the weight loss pills continued to drop. On February 8, 2007 Anna Nicole Smith passed away. This was a sudden shock to the company. She was their spokesperson up until her death. It was not known if she was still taking the Trimspa weight loss pills at the time of her death. Now some wonder what will become of the company.
