FDA Trimspa

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has no control over Trimspa because Trimspa weight loss pills are made from all natural ingredients. Trimspa lists their ingredients on the labels of the pill bottles. That is except for a few ingredients that they keep a secret but they claim they are all natural. They also do not list the amounts of each ingredient so you should make sure you do not take any more than the recommended amount. The maximum amount recommended is six pills a day. Most people take four pills a day. You should take the pills with a full glass of water to prevent choking. The Food and Drug Administration do not have any control over all natural supplements which contain no drugs. Therefore there does not have to be any scientific studies on the products. However the Trimspa company was fined $1.5 million by the Federal Trade Commission because they were advertising false statements which the company had no scientific proof to back up their statements about what the pills could do for people.

The Trimspa company hired Anna Nicole Smith as their spokesperson after she made the statement that she had lost 69 pounds in about 8 months while taking Trimspa diet pills. Later she stated to reporters that she also took something else to help her lose weight at the same time she was taking the Trimspa pills. There have been lawsuits popping up with charges of false advertising against the Trimspa company and Anna Nicole, and many complaints about the pills not working. Many have claimed the pills did nothing for them and others have stated that they lost a few pounds but gained them back plus more after they stopped taking the pills. Some had to stop taking the Trimspa pills because of side effects. There are many reported side effects. The Federal Trade Commission fined the Trimspa company $1.5 million for false advertising and making statements about the product that they did not have scientific proof to back it up. The Trimspa company agreed to pay the fine so the FTC would drop their investigation of Trimspa. Trimspa claimed they were not admitting to guilt, they just wanted the two year investigation stopped. The Trimspa company was in financial trouble before Anna Nicole Smith became their spokesperson in 2003 and with her commercials and banner ad campaigns the sales of the pills increased for about two years. Then the lawsuits and complaints started floating in and the sales again dropped. The sales have continued to drop for the past three years. Some people are wondering if this is going to be the end of Trimspa. There are still lawsuits pending.
