Lawsuit Trimspa Anna Nicole Smith

Anna Nicole Smith was named first in a lawsuit against the Trimspa company. Some say it was not fair to Anna Nicole to name her first in the lawsuit. Anna Nicole Smith became the spokesperson for the Trimspa weight loss company in 2003 after she claimed to have lost 69 pounds within 8 months while taking the Trimspa diet pills. She appeared in commercials and banner ad campaigns for the Trimspa company. Prior to her becoming the company spokesperson the Trimspa company was in a financial bind and some say they were headed toward bankruptcy. After Anna began as the spokesperson the sales of the Trimspa diet pills increased tremendously for about two years. The lawsuits and complaints about the diet pills began to surface and the sales began to drop again. It was also discovered that Anna Nicole also took something else to help in her weight loss at the same time she was taking the Trimspa diet pills. So it was not possible to determine if the Trimspa helped her or not. Many people are claiming that the diet pills did not help them at all. Others claimed they had lost a few pounds but gained them back plus some after they stopped taking the pills. Some had to stop taking the pills because they experienced side effects. There are many possible side effects, and if you have existing medical problems and/or are taking medications, you should discuss the use of these diet pills with your doctor. If you have an allergic reaction to shellfish you should not take this pill. Other reported side effects are chest pain, pain in elbows, wrists, knees, and lower abdomen, migraines, stomach ache, heart palpitations, sensitivity to caffeine, swelling of the throat or esophagus which may cause choking if there is not enough water taken with the pill, trouble breathing, trouble swallowing, vomiting, chromium toxicity, increased blood glucose, jitters, restlessness, insomnia, and anxiety. There may be other side effects not mentioned here. The Trimspa company claims their ingredients are from all natural products but there are many side effects which can be serious for some people.

The Trimspa company still has lawsuits pending. And their sales have been down for the past three years. The future of the company is just a guess at this point. Anna Nicole Smith was their spokesperson up until her death on February 8, 2007. It is not known if she was still taking the Trimspa diet pills or not at the time of her death. The company is being charged with false advertising and making statements about their diet pills that were not true. They have disappointed many people.
