Trim Spa Trim spa is one of the top selling diet pills and although there are several good reports about it on the Trimspa website, there are other reports stating that the pill did not help lose weight or very few pounds were lost while taking the pill. Some have stated that they gained their weight back as soon as they stopped taking the pills. Anna Nicole Smith was the spokesperson for the product and made the product popular with the commercials she was in for the product. This was before her untimely death on February 8, 2007. She was taking 6 Trimspa pills a day which was the maximum amount. Some fear that because of her death, the Trimspa company will be hurting for business in the future. Only time will tell about that claim. The ingredients in the Trimspa diet pill are not all known but the ones that are is Hoodia Gordonii which replaced the ingredient ephedra which was banned in the United States because of its side effects. The pills also contain chromium, which is a necessary trace mineral but can be harmful to the kidneys if it is taken in large doses. There are no proof that the chromium aids in weight loss at all. The fat blockers contain shellfish extract which can be lethal for those who are allergic to shellfish. The pill also contains Green Tea which has caffeine in it and a diuretic which can aid in weight loss because of water loss or dehydration. Other ingredients in the pill are glucomannan, cocoa extract, sodium carboxmethylcellulose, glucosamine, HCL, citrus naringin, and vanadium. The amounts of each ingredient is not stated and the company claims it is to protect their formula. The pill is said to help you lose weight by water loss, caffeine, a feeling of fullness caused by the fiber in the pill and increased glucose regulation which is what the chromium is supposed to do. It is suggested that you take 4 to 6 pills a day. There are some reported side effects of the Trimspa weight loss pill. These are swelling or blocking of the throat followed by the possibility of choking if not enough liquid is taken with the pill. Other possible side effects are chest pain, vomiting, trouble swallowing or breathing after you take the pill. You should take a smaller dose or none at all if you are allergic to shellfish, if you are taking a coagulant, or are sensitive to caffeine. Trimspa may also trigger migraines because of the cocoa extract. The cocoa contains tyramine which can sometimes cause migraines, especially if there is a large amount of it is taken.
