Trim Spa Suit There is more than one law suit against the Trimspa company. Trimspa makes diet pills which has been on the market for quite a few years. In 2003 the company was in a bind financially because of lack of sales. The company became aware of Anna Nicole Smith when she made the statement that she had lost 69 pounds while taking the Trimspa weight loss pills. Trimspa hired her to be their spokesperson and she remained so until her death on February 8, 2007. For about two years the company’s sales increased and then the lawsuits began to surface and the sales again began falling. For the past three years the sales have continued to fall. Some people wonder if the company will be able to survive this time. The lawsuits are for false advertising and the diet pills not doing what the company claimed they would do. Anna Nicole Smith is named first in some of the lawsuits because she was their spokesperson. It was also learned that she was also taking something else to help her lose weight at the same time she was taking the Trimspa diet pills. The company blames their low sales onto the bad publicity and lawsuits but it may be that the product is not what it was supposed to be. There are many who took the Trimspa diet pills and claimed that the pills did nothing for them and they lost no weight. Others claimed they lost a few pounds but gained them back plus more after they stopped taking the diet pills. Still others had to stop taking the Trimspa diet pills because they experienced side effects from the Trimspa pills. There are many reported side effects from the Trimspa pills. Some people can not take the pills because of certain medical problems and/or certain medications they are taking. Some medications do not mix well with the Trimspa diet pills. The Federal Trade Commission fined the Trimspa company for false advertising and making statements about the diet pills that they did not have scientific proof to back up their statements. The Trimspa company agreed to pay the fine but claimed it was not an admission of guilt. They said they agreed to pay the fine so the FTC would stop the investigation that had been ongoing against the company for about two years. Some are wondering what the future of the Trimspa company is now and how long it will last. Will they survive their financial difficulties this time? Have their secrets and false statements finally caught up with them? They had Anna Nicole to help them before, who will help them survive this time> Only time will tell what the fate of the company will be. All Text Copyright © Safety2005.org |
