The Trimspa company’s sales has been declining for the last three years. There have been lawsuits filed against them for false advertising and making false statements about what their products could do for you. Some of the lawsuits are still pending. The federal trade Commission fined the company $1.5 million for making claims that they could not provide proof for and also false advertising. The company agreed to pay the fine on January 4, 2007 so the FTC would stop their investigation. The company claims that this does not mean they are guilty of the charges. Anna Nicole Smith was also named in the law suits because she has been the spokesperson for the company since 2003 to up until her death on February 8, 2007. She had made the claim that she lost 69 pounds in about 8 months and it was later discovered that she was taking other aids to lose weight while she was taking the Trimspa. The future of Trimspa is believed to be coming to a close but only time will tell.
