Trimspa Baby
Trimspa Baby was a statement that Anna Nicole Smith made in her Trimspa commercials and could be seen on the banner ad campaigns for the Trimspa weight loss pills. Anna Nicole was the spokesperson for the Trimspa company from 2003 until her death on February 8, 2007. Prior to her becoming the company’s spokesperson the Trimspa company was having financial difficulties because of lack of sales. After Anna Nicole made the statement that she had lost 69 pounds in about 8 months time, Trimspa hired her as their spokesperson and the sales for the company soared for about two years. At some point Anna Nicole made the statement to reporters that she was also taking something else to aid in her weight loss at the same time she was taking the Trimspa diet pills. It is not known if she was still taking Trimspa at the time of her death. She will always be remembered for her quote ’Trimspa Baby” in her commercials and ads.
There have been some lawsuits against Anna Nicole and the Trimspa company in the past few years and some are still pending. They have been charged with false advertising. They have faced legal problems and allegations over and over because the advertisements were claimed to be false or misleading to the public. Many people have tried the Trimspa pills and claim they did nothing for them. Others stated that they lost a few pounds but gained them back plus more after they stopped taking the pills. There are a few positive reviews on the Trimspa website but there are many negative reviews elsewhere on the internet. The Trimspa company was fined $1.5 million by the Federal Trade Commission for false advertising. Trimspa agreed to pay the fine on January 4, 2007. The company claims that it is not an admission of guilt, it was just to stop the investigation by the FTC which had been going on for the past two years. There are many possible side effects from the Trimspa diet pill. Many people had to stop taking the pills because they experienced side effects. The company does not list all of the ingredients on the labels of their bottles. They are keeping several ingredients a secret and they do not list the amount of each ingredient in each pill so it can not be determined if it is truly safe to use or not. They claim the secrecy is so no one can steal their formula. Anna Nicole Smith may have been a big help to the company for a while but without a product that actually works, no one can boost their sales for long.
