Trimspa Unsafe

Whether Trimspa weight loss pills are unsafe or not is a matter of opinion in some people’s eyes. Some feel the pills work great for them without any side effects (these are on the Trimspa website). Others are filing lawsuits and complaints against the company because they feel the pills are not safe or they do not work as the company claims they will. Trimspa has been accused of false advertising by the Federal Trade Commission and the Trimspa company has agreed to pay a $1.5 million fine so the FTC will drop their investigation. The Trimspa company was in financial trouble back in 2003 because of low sales. They used to have ephedra in their pills until the ephedra was banned in the United States. In 2003 Anna Nicole Smith (model and actress) was hired as the company’s spokesperson after it was learned that she lost 69 pounds in 8 months while taking the Trimspa diet pill. She appeared in commercials and banner ads and it boosted the Trimspa sales considerably for about two years. Then the lawsuits and complaints began to filter out and sales again began to fall. Anna Nicole was also named in the lawsuits with the Trimspa company because she was their spokesperson. She had also made the comment to the reporters that she was also taking something else to help her lose weight at the same time she was taking Trimspa. This announcement did not make some people very happy. Anna Nicole had been their inspiration to try to lose weight with the Trimspa diet pills.

Trimspa diet pills have many possible side effects and some can not use the pills because of side effects. Some can not use them because of certain medical problems that exist and/or certain medications they are taking. The Trimspa company labels their bottles with some of their ingredients but they do not specify how much of each ingredient is in the pills. They also keep a few ingredients a secret. They claim the reason for all of this is to keep someone from stealing their formula. It does not make sense why anyone would want the formula for something that does not seem to be working or is causing health problems for some. Many claim that it does not work and some say it helped them lose a few pounds but they gained it back plus some after they stopped taking the diet pills. The Federal Trade Commission has fined the company $1.5 million for false advertising because they could not furnish scientific proof that the pills did what the company claimed they would do. The Trimspa company agreed to pay the fine so the FTC would drop their investigation against them.
