Anna Nicole Weight Loss
Anna Nicole Smith was the spokeswoman for the Trimspa weight loss pill in 2003. She had made the statement that she had lost 69 pounds in about 8 months while she was taking the Trimspa diet pills so the Trimspa company hired her as their spokeswoman. The Trimspa company were having financial difficulties and had just about hit rock bottom before Anna Nicole was hired. After she began showing up in their ad campaigns and commercials the Trimspa sales began to soar. From 2003 until 2005 trimspa sold more diet pills than they ever had and showed a tremendous increase in profits. Then the lawsuits and fines began to surface. Plus Anna Nicole made the comment that she had also taken other aids to help her lose weight at the same time she was taking the Trimspa pills. This did not sit too well with many customers who had bought Trimspa pills because they believed that Anna had lost the weight because of the Trimspa pills alone. There were lawsuits and some of them named Anna Nicole and Trimspa in the suits with Anna Nicole named first. This was believed to be because Anna was the spokeswoman for the company. Some lawsuits have already been settled and some are still pending. From 2005 until Anna’s death on February 8, 2007, the Trimspa sales again suffered. The company believed this was because of the negative publicity the company was getting.
Trimspa was fined 1.5 million dollars by the Federal trade Commission and accused Trimspa of false advertising and for making statements that they did not have the scientific proof to back them up. Trimspa agreed to pay the fine but claim it was not an admission of guilt but rather a reason to get the FTC to drop the investigation they had going on the Trimspa company. Many people believe that Trimspa is not going to be around much longer and feel that the death of Anna Nicole will hurt the company tremendously. It appears that the company were already hurting before her death. It seems that the Trimspa weight loss pills do not work as well as the company claims they do and there are many negative testimonials to back it up. There are a few positive testimonials about trimspa on the Trimspa website but many negative ones elsewhere on the internet. Make sure you do your research before you buy Trimspa. After you have done your own research, you can make up your own mind.
It was not known if Anna Nicole was still taking Trimspa at the time of her death but she did help the Trimspa company if but for only a short time.
