African Hoodia

The word is out about African Hoodia after the SAN Tribesmen had it all to themselves for over 25,000 years. It seems we can
learn from others after all. The SAN tribes have used the African Hoodia for many years as a food and medicine. When out in
the Kalahari Desert on hunting trips, they would eat or chew on the Hoodia plant for nourishment and water because there was
very little food to be found in the desert. After they consumed the Hoodia stem, they could go for a long extended period of
time without food and water. The Hoodia plant suppressed their appetite so they felt full and did not want to eat or drink
anything.
The African Hoodia and only the African Hoodia contains molecules, which scientists have named P57, which will suppress the
appetite and you will feel full so you do not want to eat. When less calories are taken into the body, more fat is used up and this
results in loss of weight. The molecules from the Hoodia Gordonii are the only ones which can have this effect on the body. There
are many species of Hoodia plants but the Hoodia Gordonii is the only one which has the P57.
The African Hoodia is a cactus like plant which is actually a succulent plant but has spiny fingerlike stems which grow in clusters
from 18" to 24" tall at maturity. It takes about 5 to 7 years for the Hoodia to mature. They have a pinkish purple bloom which
has a foul smell to it. The stems and roots store water to survive the dry spells in the desert. If one chewed on the stem of the
Hoodia, it would have a bitter like cucumber taste.
The African Hoodia Gordonii is now being farmed in large quantities in South Africa on controlled plantations so there will be
plenty for future demands. This diet supplement has helped a lot of people lose the unwanted weight they had lost hope of ever
losing. Their dreams of living healthier lives have now become a reality with Hoodia Gordonii. The need for a safe diet
supplement is long overdue and the Hoodia Gordonii may just be the answer we have all been waiting on. Where other diet
products have failed, maybe Hoodia will succeed.
There is Hoodia being raised in other countries but there is no proof that the plants will contain the pure Hoodia Gordonii or P57
needed to suppress the appetite and work as it should to aid in weight loss. Until studies show that there is P57 in any of these
other plants grown outside of Southern Africa one should proceed with caution. Only the pure Hoodia Gordonii from Southern
Africa has been proven to contain the 100% all natural Hoodia Gordonii.
